Our vision is to change the environment of underserved communities by improving the homes people live in, the food they consume, and the education they receive, to ensure the people are able to sustain themselves for generations. We developed a renewable energy business model specific to Cambodia. The goal of the business was to increase access to energy and provide income for a community living on less than $10 a week. We are currently working in Alabama, developing a solar powered micro-irrigation system for rural farmers. As one of the poorest states in America, many of the farmers do not have the financial capital to compete with farmers in the other regions of the country. In order to increase their ability to compete in the national agriculture market, we are developing a drip-irrigation system that is powered by the sun.
We developed a sustainability assessment report of the City of Newark, NJ, and proposed sustainability initiatives the city could implement that would also increase the urban ecology of the city. We worked with a number of community groups and city officials to develop a report that focused on ways to make the housing more sustainable, improve the water quality, and increase the urban agriculture.
